Upcoming TV anime CITY THE ANIMATION announced today that voice actor Hochu Otsuka ( Kako in Toilet-bound Hanako-kun ) is joining the cast as the Narrator. The series begins broadcasting in Japan on July 6, 2025. CITY THE ANIMATION Trailer Kodansha serializes the original City manga by Keiichi Arawi in their Morning seinen manga magazine, and a total of 13 collected volumes have also been published in Japan. Vertical Comics also publishes an English language version of the series. Tachi Ishidate directs CITY THE ANIMATION at Kyoto Animation. Tamami Tokuyama provides the character designs and serves as chief animation director and instrumental band Piranhans provides the music.
