After 35 years, the official City Hunter video game will be available again! Clouded Leopard Entertainment and Red Art Games have announced a digital remaster of SUNSOFT's City Hunter video game, originally released in 1990 on PC Engine (the console known in the west as Turbografx-16). The new release is part of the ongoing 40th anniversary festivities for Tsukasa Hojo's hit manga-turned-anime series. A new trailer shows off the retro style of the classic game: City Hunter PC Engine "Revival Edition" Trailer RELATED: City Hunter: Angel Dust Anime Film Dated for Blu-ray in North America Inspired by the first season of the City Hunter anime, the game presents an original side story in which the player (as sweeper Ryo Saeba) thwarts the plans of "a sinister megacorporation whose conspiracy threatens the world." The new edition will include English, French, Italian, German and Spanish language support. Additionally, the iconic theme song "Get Wild" by TM Network has been added to the game's soundtrack. The digital edition will be available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam) on February 26, 2026 . Steam users can wishlist the game now . One month later, on March 26 (Ryo Saeba's birthday), Red Art Games will offer physical editions in Europe for the Switch and PS5: City Hunter game physical editions The physical edition will be available in three versions. The Standard will consist of the game itself, while the Deluxe edition will include the game, a sleeve and a bonus to be announced at a later date. A Collector's edition, limited to 500 copies per platform, will include a steelcase, an acrylic art stand, a soundtrack CD and more. He can be a private detective or hitman, whatever the case calls for, and it often requires the use of his superhuman marksmanship. But even so, Ryo can’t do it alone. His partner is Kaori Makimura, the younger sister of his murdered best friend.
