The commanders we've become acquainted with over the last few months are all gathered in one place: a new key visual for Chained Soldier Season 2 released today before a January 8 broadcast debut in Japan. The first season, which aired for 12 episodes from January 2024, was directed by Junji Nishimura and Goro Kuji at studio Seven Arcs. The original Chained Soldier manga is written by Takahiro, illustrated by Yohei Takamura and published by Shueisha in Shonen Jump+ magazine. An English language version is also available from Yen Press, which describes the story: Decades ago, gates to an otherworldly and dangerous dimension known as Mato-the “Demon City”-appeared across Japan.
