Bungo Stray Dogs WAN! Season 2 Anime Announced for 2026

Nearly five years after Bungo Stray Dogs WAN! brought the daily lives of Armed Detective Agency and Port Mafia members to our screens, the franchise's official website and accounts today announced that a second season is in production for a 2026 broadcast. Season 2 Commemorative Illustration RELATED: Kafka Asagiri on ‘90s Anime Inspiration for Bungo Stray Dogs and Using Chekhov’s Gun in Storytelling Toshihiro Kikuchi ( Pseudo Harem ) directed the first season of Bungo Stray Dogs WAN! at studios Nomad and bones, with series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu ( Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms ), character designs by Hiromi Daimi and music by Taku Iwasaki ( Gachiakuta ). Kikuchi, Daimi and Iwasaki are confirmed to return for Season 2, with Yudai Hanaoka coming in as assistant director and Toko Machida replacing Fudeyasu as series composer. Nomad and bones continue to produce the animation. Crunchyroll streams the first season and describes the story: Bungo Stray Dogs: an action battle epic set in the bustling, fictional city of Yokohama, where the port winds howl as "gifteds" whose powers take after the giants of literature.
