Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo Stage Play Returns in June 2026

The official website for the stage play adaptation project based on Yoshio Sawai's surreal comedy manga series Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo announced today that its second show, titled "Cho Hajike Stage Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo ~Innen! Hanage! Kessen!~," is set to perform at the Theater G Rosso in Tokyo from June 12 to 21, 2026. The tickets for all 13 performances were sold out. The first show's Keita Kawajiri (SUGARBOY) will return to write and direct, while Sho Kato is confirmed to reprises his role as the protagonist, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. Following the pre-sales from December 20, 2025, to February 2, 2026, general sales of the tickets will begin on March 14, 2026. Cho Hajike Stage Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo Blu-ray Trailer The original manga series Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2001 to November 2005, then was followed by its sequel Shinsetsu Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo from December 2005 to July 2007. Toei Animation's TV anime adaptation aired for 76 episodes from November 2003 to May 2005. Toei Animation's official English website describes the series as such: In the year 300X, an emperor rules the world. To prove his authority over the people, the emperor starts a "Hair Hunt", where he tries to take the hair of all of its citizens.
