The official accounts behind the live-action BLUE LOCK film recently gave us an eyeful with a teaser visual, and now those eyes will spread across the next 12 days to reveal cast members and their respective visuals. First up is protagonist Yoichi Isagi, whose face is front and center in the poster along with the casting reveal of actor Fumiya Takahashi. Takahashi’s acting career got a major boost when he was cast as Aruto Hiden, the lead in Kamen Rider Zero-One . He has had a number of live-action roles since then, and has also provided some voice work, including Jester Galandros in the Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King anime film. Yusuke Taki directs, based on a screenplay by Tetsuo Kamata. Adapting the award-winning manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, Yuji Haibara ( The Slime Diaries ) directed the second season of BLUE LOCK anime at studio eightbit ( That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ), with series composition by Taku Kishimoto, character designs by Kenji Tanabe and music by Jun Murayama. A new anime was announced alongside the live-action film. Crunchyroll streams both current seasons and BLUE LOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI- , describing the story like so: Japan’s desire for World Cup glory leads the Japanese Football Association to launch a new rigorous training program to find the national team’s next striker. Three hundred high school players are pitted against each other for the position, but only one will come out on top. Who among them will be the striker to usher in a new era of Japanese soccer?
