BLUE LOCK Announces New Anime Series, Live-Action Film

Fans at BLUE LOCK Egoist Festa 2025 today were treated to not one, but TWO special announcements: a new BLUE LOCK anime series is officially in production, as well as a live-action film adaptation that is slated to release in Summer 2026 — around the time of the next FIFA World Cup. CREDEUS ( Kingdom , Golden Kamuy films) is producing the latter. A release date for the anime's continuation was not confirmed at the time of reporting. Crunchyroll streams both current seasons and BLUE LOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI- , describing the story like so: Japan’s desire for World Cup glory leads the Japanese Football Association to launch a new rigorous training program to find the national team’s next striker. Three hundred high school players are pitted against each other for the position, but only one will come out on top. Who among them will be the striker to usher in a new era of Japanese soccer?
