Blue Gale Xabungle Anime Teases New "Side R" Video in Collaboration with THE iDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS

The Sunrise Robot Laboratory isn't just a website where you can learn all about the company's classic mecha anime. (Though it does include that.) It's also an initiative to give these classic robots new life via collaborations and CG videos, resurrecting them with fresh modern animation. 1982's Blue Gale Xabungle is the latest to get this upgrade, and plans are afoot for the lab's next big reveal. Back in May, Sunrise released their five-minute "BLUE GALE XABUNGLE SIDE L" video. The "L" stands for "Legacy" and "Legend" — and, as with their Aura Battler Dunbine video before, this Side L video reproduces the original opening and familiar scenes with modern animation technology. As with the previous Aura Battler Dunbine Side R video, this one is expected to reimagine and recontextualize elements of the original anime, introducing new design elements and a new theme song. This time, Blue Gale Xabungle will collaborate with Houkago Climax Girls, one of the idol units in THE iDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS .
