‘Blood West’ Coming to Consoles on October 16 [Trailer]

Previously released on Steam back in 2023, New Blood Interactive and developer Hyperstrange will be bringing their Wild West Eldritch horror FPS Blood West to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on October 16. The DLC expansion “Dead Man’s Promise” will also be available, either separately or as part of the Dead Man’s Edition.

Described as “an immersive Wild West FPS”, Blood West puts you in the boots of a revenant desperado, who must take on twisted demons and Eldritch horrors. All the while, you search for a way to end the curse that has gripped the frontier, and maybe find some peace for your own wicked soul.

Blood West is a stealth first-person shooter inspired by the genre classics such as the Thief series (whose fans will be happy to hear the voice of Stephen Russell, the actor voicing the master-thief Garrett, returning here as the protagonist), the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games and Hunt: Showdown. The gameplay rewards the careful approach: scouting the area, stalking your enemies, and striking from the shadows.

The Barren Lands present the player with a nightmarish, twisted vision of the Wild West legends. The curse that has befallen the realm has corrupted every living thing, defiled the land itself, while summoning restless spirits and dark entities. A mixture of gunslinger pulp and Lovecraftian horror, dark occult magick presents just as much of a threat as your gun.
