Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs, the writers of this year’s big screen thriller Drop, are reteaming with the film’s director Christopher Landon for the new thriller Blink of an Eye, with Deadline reporting that Netflix has “preemptively acquired” the duo’s spec script.
Blink of an Eye is based on a story by Christopher Landon, with Landon attached to direct.
Plot details, at this time, are under wraps. Stay tuned for more.
Brad Fuller, Cameron Fuller and Michael Bay will produce for Platinum Dunes.
From Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes, Christopher Landon’s Drop is now streaming on Peacock. Meghann Fahy (“The White Lotus”) and Brandon Sklenar (“1932”) star in the film, which made $28.7 million at the worldwide box office earlier this year.
Fahy is Violet, a widowed mother who has worked up the courage to go on her first date in years with a charming photographer named Henry. The cute couple’s killer chemistry is rudely interrupted by a series of anonymous drops to Violet’s phone showing a masked intruder entering her home and ordering her to follow a series of instructions.
Her unseen tormentor’s final directive? Kill Henry.
