The anime adaptation of Betrothed to My Sister's Ex premieres in just over a month! Three new voice actors were announced today to join the cast of the romantic drama, adapted from the novel series by author Tobirano. Joining the cast will be: Toppo voiced by Tetsuya Kakihara (Natsu Dragneel in Fairy Tail ) Thomas voiced by Tatsuyuki Kobayashi (Ace Ikebukuro in KING OF PRISM ) Tunica voiced by Yuka Aisaka (Narita Brian in Umamusume: Pretty Derby ) RELATED: Betrothed to My Sister's Ex Anime Previews Opening Song, More Cast in New Trailer Takayuki Kitagawa directs Betrothed to My Sister's Ex at LandQ studios, with assistant direction by Masakazu Sunagawa, series composition by Kenta Ihara, character designs by Akiko Sato and music by Kujira Yumemi. The anime is scheduled to premiere on July 4. Tobirano began the original novel series on Shosetsuka ni Naro in October 2019, with a light novel edition with illustrations by Mai Murasaki beginning in April 2020, with eight volumes released in Japan to date. A manga version illustrated by Chikage Nakakura began in June 2020, with eight volumes also released. Seven Seas Entertainment will release the physical English version of the light novel and manga in January 2026 , and describes the story: Marie has spent her life living under her sister’s shadow as the two grew up in an impoverished baron’s home. Every nice thing went to Marie’s sister, leaving her without even a proper dress! And right when her sister was being married off to a wealthy Earl–tragedy strikes and Marie’s sister is killed en route. With the dowry already spent, it’s decided that Marie will take her sister’s place and become the Earl’s betrothed. But, when she gets there, she finds there’s been a serious mix-up—the proposal was a total misunderstanding!
