‘Bambi: The Reckoning’ Stomps Onto VOD from ‘Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey’ Producers

Bambi: The Reckoning, the latest installment in the Poohniverse from the producers of Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, has stomped onto VOD.

Described as “Cujo meets Jurassic Park,” the twisted take on the classic character is available to rent ($12.99) or purchase ($19.98) exclusively through Amazon via ITN Distribution.

After a car wreck, a mother and son become hunted by Bambi, a mutated grief-stricken deer on a deadly rampage seeking revenge for the death of his mother.

Produced by Jagged Edge Productions, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 editor Dan Allen directs from a script by Rhys Warrington.

Roxanne McKee (TV’s “Game of Thrones”), Nicola Wright (Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2), Russell Geoffrey Banks, Tom Mulheron, and Samira Mighty (“Love Island”) star.

Paul Lê wrote in his review, “Bambi: The Reckoning delivers other surprises that make it the best movie, at least so far, in the Twisted Childhood Universe. Maybe even the whole genre of public domain horror.”

The Poohniverse will continue with Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3, set to enter production in early 2026, and the crossover film Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble expected to shoot in March.
