Back in May, alongside the announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II, Auroch Digital released their “first person typer” Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – Words of Vengeance for free. They’ve now gone back and added a “colossal update” to the game that doubles the existing in-game content.
This new update brings with it three new levels, over 400 new words and phrases, and brand-new quick time mechanics. All of which are available in the free new update for a game that’s free to grab on Steam. Test your typing speed and revisit new environments of Canyon Magrails and The Deep Vault in the game’s newest levels, typing not only to slay your foes, but also to collect extra health to aid your quest.
A creative reimagining of Auroch Digital’s retro boomer shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, Words of Vengeance sees players mow down their enemies and kill the relentless hordes of enemies that descend upon them not with elite FPS skills, but by typing out words. Set in the world of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, you play as Malum Caedo on his mission to cleanse Forge World Graia of cultists, traitors and Chaos daemons that threaten to overrun it.
Put your typing skills to the test by typing out randomised words and phrases from Warhammer 40,000 lore to end the lives of your foes. Obliterate your enemies by quickly typing their death sentences, but beware as one typo could spell your own demise.
Meanwhile, Boltgun II will arrive in 2026 for PC via Steam, PlayStation, 5, and the Xbox Series.
