Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 4 Reveals April 4 Premiere in New Trailer

Main and her love for literature will be returning this April! The official accounts for the  Ascendance of a Bookworm  TV anime announced tonight that the fourth season, which adapts the Adopted Daughter of an Archduke arc from Miya Kazuki’s original light novel, will premiere on April 4 on Japanese TV. The first trailer for the season was released, revealing the opening theme song along with the first key visual. The opening theme song is “Pages” by female vocal group Little Glee Monster. The group is best known for performing "Dakara, Hitori Janai" as the first ending theme for My Hero Academia season 2 and “Over” as BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS ’ second opening theme. RELATED: Ascendance of a Bookworm Anime New Season Confirms 2026 Premiere Yoshiaki Iwasaki ( We Never Learn: BOKUBEN ) takes over direction of the new Ascendance of a Bookworm  season at WIT Studio from Mitsuru Hongo at Ajia-do Animation Works. Mariko Kunisawa returns to write the series composition, alongside Michiru composing the music. Aiko Minowa ( Love Through a Prism sub-character designer) is drawing the character designs. The series will premiere on April 4 and air over two consecutive anime seasons. Crunchyroll, which  is streaming all the previous three seasons , describes  Ascendance of a Bookworm as such: Avid bookworm and college student Motosu Urano ends up dying in an unforeseen accident. This came right after the news that she would finally be able to work as a librarian like she had always dreamed of. When she regained consciousness, she was reborn as Main, the daughter of a poor soldier. She was in the town of Ehrenfest, which had a harsh class system. But as long as she had books, she didn't really need anything else. However, books were scarce and belonged only to the nobles.
