Anomaly-Hunting Horror Title ‘CAPTURED’ Now on Xbox Series

After launching last month on PlayStation, solo dev Puck Games’ psychological anomaly-horror title CAPTURED is now available for Xbox players. The game previously arrived on Steam last October, with Puck Games currently developing the sequel for release later this year.

CAPTURED plunges players into a terrifying late 90s analogue horror experience where you are trapped in your endlessly looping house. In order to escape, you must capture anomalies on camera. Leaving the house only leads you right back into the same hallway. As a result, you explore a procedurally-generated endless hallway filled with strange phenomena and constantly-changing rooms.

The more anomalies you find, the higher you climb the leaderboards. Traverse Safe Mode, on through to Normal, Hard, Nightmare, and then Insanity.

Break the loop and escape by exercising your memory skills. Use your camera to zoom in on suspicious changes and select their anomaly type. Missing or incorrectly identifying any unusual phenomena within a loop will wipe your camera’s memory. You’ll need to correctly capture 13 anomalies in order to escape.

However, you’re not alone in this loop. Three monsters, each with unique traits and mechanics, are lurking about the house. While silence may be a good tactic, staying too long within a loop could give away your location. Use your flashlight, camera, and the doors strategically to survive each entity.
