Anisong singer May'n , best known as the singing voice of Sheryl Nome in the Macross Frontier anime series, will release a new best album to celebrate her debut's 20th anniversary, titled "TWENTY//NEXT," on August 13, 2025. After releasing three less-known singles as Mei Nakabayashi (her real name) from 2005 to 2006, she started her singer activities under the stage name May'n in January 2008. The singing voice works for Macross Frontier as Sheryl Nome was a major breakthrough in her career. In addition to Macross, she has also performed theme songs for many other anime franchise, such as Shangri-la , Aria the Scarlet Ammo , Taboo Tattoo , and AZUR LANE . Under the name May'n, she has released 22 singles, seven original full albums, and three mini-albums. Her second best album "TWENTY//NEXT" contains a total of 21 songs, including newly re-recorded best-known songs from her career and one new song. The songs on the album include her famous anime theme songs such as "graphite/diamond" ( AZUR LANE opening theme), "Belief" ( Taboo Tattoo opening theme), "Chase the world" ( Accel World opening theme), and "Scarlet Ballet" ( Aria the Scarlet Ammo opening theme), as well as her original songs such as “Orange” and “Mirai Note,” for which she wrote the lyrics and music.
