We’re just a few days away from the 9th annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards, which will be held in Tokyo on May 25, 2025 at the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa. Among the many honors to come is the first ever Global Impact Award, and the first recipient will be the Attack on Titan anime. The Global Impact Award celebrates “visionary creators and groundbreaking works that have left an indelible mark on culture, history and the hearts of audiences around the world.” The adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s epic Attack on Titan saga that kicked off in 2014 and ran until 2023—concluding with big-screen compilation film Attack on Titan: The Last Attack in 2024—certainly fits the bill. A representative from anime studio MAPPA—which handled production for all of Attack on Titan Final Season and The Last Attack —will be on hand to accept the Global Impact Award on behalf of everyone involved with Attack on Titan . RELATED: Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025: Your Ultimate Guide Speaking of which, you can watch all of Attack on Titan right now on Crunchyroll, which describes the series like so: Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive. Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!
