Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse, Barbie) and Brenton Thwaites (“Titans,” Oculus) are set to star in the sci-fi horror horror Lost Planet, Deadline has learned.
Currently in pre-production, the movie is described as an “exciting new blend of Alien, Moon, and Arrival.”
It takes place in the near future where a leading aerospace corporation has established colonies on various planets. When one colony suddenly goes dark, two astronauts are sent to investigate — but when they arrive, there’s no trace of anyone.
Darius Dawson will make his feature directorial debut from a script by Brendan Bigelow.
John Sacchi and Matthew Groesch of 5 More Minutes Productions (“One of Us Is Lying”), is producing alongside Adam Haiken, Roy Scott McFarland, Colin Bates, and Marc Danon.
Daniel Baur and Oda Schaefer are executive-producing on behalf of K5 International, which will introduce the film to buyers at the upcoming American Film Market.
