Ado to Perform New Opening Theme Song for CHIBI MARUKO-CHAN Anime

The long-running anime CHIBI MARUKO-CHAN announced today that the singer Ado will perform a new version of the opening theme song, “Odoru Ponpokorin,” for the series. The new version will debut on December 28, 2025. Originally performed by B.B. Queens, the song was previously used as the ending theme for CHIBI MARUKO-CHAN beginning in 1990. Later, it was changed to the opening theme song, and has been covered over the years by other musicians like ManaKana & Shigeru Izumiya, Kaela Kimura, E-girls, Golden Bomber and, most recently in 2019, Momoiro Clover Z. Ado's new version marks the first change in performers in just over six years.
