We recently got a premiere date for the A Wild Last Boss Appeared! anime, but that’s not the only adaptation on the way for Firehead and illustrator YahaKo’s light novel series. Publisher SUNSOFT and developer Rocket Studio unveiled A Wild Last Boss Appeared! ~Black-Winged Survivor~ , an “aggressive arena shooter” that’s in the works for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The digital release is currently set for October 5, putting it just a day after the premiere of the WAO World anime adaptation. Check out the teaser trailer below for a look at how it plays. SUNSOFT describes the game’s story like so: The game is set in the idyllic town of Mimir. In the center of the town stood a giant tower called Mistilteinn Tower. On their way to Blutgang, Lufas and her party stop in this town and meet a person named Maia. Guided by Maia into the tower, they find themselves in a mysterious space where their levels are forcibly decreased. Curious about Maia's true identity, Lufas decides to challenge the tower.
