August saw the announcement of the A Wild Last Boss Appeared! ~Black-Winged Survivor~ game, which comes from publisher SUNSOFT and developer Rocket Studio. Now the new spin on Firehead and illustrator YahaKo’s light novel series has arrived digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, with the Steam version to follow on October 6. The A Wild Last Boss Appeared! light novels were originally published from October 2015 to April 2019 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website. Earth Star Entertainment also published nine print volumes for the series from February 2016 to April 2019. J-Novel Club publishes the series digitally and describes the story like so: The year is 2800 and Lufas Maphaahl – The Black-Winged Tyrant, Great Conqueror, and leader of the Twelve Heavenly Stars – has returned.
