Lord of Mysteries is a show fittingly filled with mysteries. From who kidnapped a child this week, to what deity may be lurking in the gray fog, all further complicated by some threads spanning epochs of human history as they follow hidden and secretive organizations through centuries or millennia of societal evolution and scheming. To represent all the different organizations, deities, factions, and so on, the show introduces us to an honestly unreasonable number of characters who range from vitally important to the plot of every episode, to people named in a passing mention that may become important later but thus far have not made an appearance. As if the characters needed to be more confusing, many of them are also Beyonders, the show’s term for magic users. Beyonders gain their powers by drinking a Sequence 9 potion of whatever Path they want to follow. After fully digesting Sequence 9, they can drink a Sequence 8 potion of the same Path for more and stronger abilities. Each Beyonder can only follow one Path, but being a Beyonder means coming with a title akin to a zip code. To make things a little easier for newcomers, here is a breakdown of each of the characters introduced by the start of Episode 10, followed (when applicable) by a list of the characters most closely associated with them but too minor to get their own entry. Table of Contents Zhou Mingrui/Klein Moretti/The Fool Roselle Gustav Melissa Moretti Benson Moretti Azik Eggers/Grand Baron Lamud Dunn Smith Daly Simone Leonard Mitchell Old Neil Kenley White Hanass Vincent Tris/Trissy Lavenus Reverend Crestet Cesimir Minor Characters Zhou Mingrui/Klein Moretti/The Fool Seer path sequence 8 Clown The show’s protagonist, and recent subject of “transmigration” (being isekai-d) into Klein’s body after Klein committed suicide by gunshot. Wants to go home by whatever means will get him back the fastest. He tried to recreate the luck enhancement ritual he performed the night before being transported to the new world, and was instead sucked into a Divine Realm filled with gray fog he could control to manifest objects and boost his divination power. His ritual also sucked in two others, so he took the moniker The Fool and started the Tarot Club as their leader.
