Tetsuryo! meet with Tetsudou Musume Anime Introduces Four Lead Cast Members

Last month, Takara Tomy's Tetsudou Musume Railway Girls project announced it would be celebrating its 20th anniversary with an anime adaptation premiering in 2026. Today, the cast voicing the anime's four main girls have been announced. Appearing in the series as the members of the titular "Tetsuryo" are (from left to right): Misaki Sada voiced by May Tachibana (Fu Nonomiya in Magical Sisters Lulutto Lily ) Kodama Orihara voiced by Mao Shoji (first major role) Ushio Yagami voiced by Haruna Fukushima (Dantsu Flame in Umamusume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era ) Usa Harutachi voiced by Hika Tsukishiro (Chika Suzugamori in ZatsuTabi -That's Journey- ) RELATED: Tetsudou Musume Railway Girls Project Gets TV Anime for 20th Anniversary Teaser visual Takara Tomy's subsidiary, Tomytec, launched the Tetsudou Musume project in 2005. It features over 100 girls in train-related jobs wearing the uniforms of real-life train companies from around Japan. The girls' names are derived from stations, trains and other facilities along train networks. The characters are released as figures and other goods along train lines as promotion and revitalization.  A TV drama called Tetsudo Musume ~Girls be ambitious! ,  based on the railway girls, was broadcast in 2008. AKB48's Sae Miyazawa and Tomomi Kasai were part of a cast of seven workers. Various games and manga have also been released over the years. The series focuses on four university students who are part of the Train Travel Club (known as Tetsuryo), who spend their youth traveling around Japan and see the excitement in the life of a woman who works in the railways and are known as Tetsudou Musume.
