We already have a horror game involving a bike with Vicious Cycle, but that’s not stopping developer Goodwin Games and their own pedal powered survival horror game, Quite a Ride. The devteam has announced an agreement with publisher Silver Lining Interactive to distribute the game, which is currently in development for release on Steam.
Quite a Ride sees you biking to your friend’s house, but you find yourself on a deserted road covered in unnaturally thick fog. Your phone is going crazy with cryptic messages from an unknown sender. Soon, you start seeing strange beings in the fog, with them taking an interest in you.
Trapped in this shifting twilight, your only hope is your bicycle. You’ll need to pedal through the changing countryside landscape, uncover hidden laboratories, and evade the monstrous beings that emerge from the fog, their footsteps always just behind you.
“We absolutely fell in love with the concept from the moment we saw it,” said Eben, Sales & Biz Dev Coordinator at Silver Lining. “Having worked with Goodwin Games before on Selfloss, we already knew how thoughtful and ambitious their work is, so partnering with them again felt completely natural.”
“Trying it out, I was scared sh**less, and I loved it,” says Ross, Head of Marketing at Silver Lining Interactive. “It’s rare to find a game that gets under your skin in such a deliberate, unnerving way. Folks will love this one.’’
