Ahead of a March 13, 2026 theatrical release in Japan, the Golden Kamuy: Abashiri Prison Arc live-action film today announced the casting of Jun Kunimura (Kazuma in Trillion Game ) as Rear Admiral Tokishige Usami with a new character poster. Kenji Katagiri, who helmed the Golden Kamuy: The Hunt of Prisoners in Hokkaido series, takes over as film director from Shigeaki Kubo at production studio CREDEUS. Tsutomu Kuroiwa returns as screenwriter and Yutaka Yamada returns as music composer.
