Girl Crush TV Anime Announced

TBS Television and ENISHIYA announced today that the K-pop themed manga Girl Crush by Midori Tayama will be adapted into a TV anime. A new visual drawn by Tayama and an announcement video followed the reveal. No additional details about the anime such as staff, cast or a release date was announced at the time of reporting. Eight digial volumes and four print volumes have been released in Japan to date. Comikey releases a digital version of the English-language adaptation of the manga, with VIZ Media releasing a print version. VIZ Media describes the series as such: Inspired by Erian’s sincerity (and her own unexpected jealousy), Tenka decides that she’s going to audition at a famous Korean talent agency. But although her research powers and ability to memorize moves have helped Tenka excel in the past, the judges seem to be looking for something more than just flawless technique.
