Along with the announcement of a release date last week, Ten Image Publishing and OnTheHouse launched its “Creature Feature” series of trailers for Huntsman, showing off the huntsman spider. Now the devteam has followed that up with another trailer, showing off the tarantula, which happens to be the most aggressive spider type you’ll encounter.
Per the press release, the tarantula is “in a class of its own.” Players will encounter the tarantula in a number of locations throughout their escape from Atherton Labs’ Experimental BioSolutions Division. Predominantly a solitary hunter, the tarantula will tolerate other spider types nearby, but the same cannot be said for wandering humans (that means you). Its burrow and hunting grounds are lined with webbing to both detect and trap its prey. You’d best avoid this arachnid at all costs, and use distractions where possible.
In Huntsman, you are the new security guard at Atherton Laboratories, which has unfortunately been overrun by the eight-legged predators. Outnumbered and defenseless, you must find a way to eliminate the threats and lift the facility lockdown to escape.
To do so, you must divert the facility’s limited power between sections of the building to access new areas, gather vital resources, and outmanoeuvre the swarm. Sadly, you aren’t equipped with a flamethrower. Instead, you must use your flashlight, throwables, and the environment itself to distract, mislead, and evade the spiders.
