Return to Silent Hill Film Trailer Goes All in on Adapting Silent Hill 2

We’re two months out from the premiere of Return to Silent Hill , the latest in the series of live-action film adaptations that has Christophe Gans returning to direct. This one was previously confirmed to adapt the most acclaimed entry in the survival horror series, Silent Hill 2 , and you can see some of those key characters and beats on display in the trailer below.  Return to Silent Hill Trailer RELATED: Return to Silent Hill Live-Action Film Release Date Announced Return to Silent Hill opens on January 23, 2026.  The film was first announced in October 2022. Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Anderson star, with game composer Akira Yamaoka providing music. The story follows James (Irvine) as a letter prompts him to return to Silent Hill to search for the love of his life (Anderson) after a separation. Naturally, things don’t quite go as planned in Silent Hill, as James encounters plenty of freaky creatures and attempts to unravel the town’s mystery.  Previous  Silent Hill  movies include 2006’s  Silent Hill  from director Christophe Gans and 2012’s  Silent Hill: Revelation  from director M. J. Bassett. On the video game side of things, a remake of the original  Silent Hill  is currently in the works at  Silent Hill 2  remake developer Bloober Team.
