One year from the film’s release, the first teaser trailer and poster for the The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping are here to usher in a new era of the games.
The sixth installment in the Hunger Games franchise opens in theaters and IMAX on November 20, 2026 via Lionsgate.
The sequel to 2023’s The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes revisits the world of Panem and follows young Haymitch Abernathy 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.
Francis Lawrence, who helmed the previous four installments, directs from a script by Billy Ray (The Hunger Games, Terminator: Dark Fate), based on the novel by Suzanne Collins.
Joseph Zada, Jesse Plemons, Ralph Fiennes, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Mckenna Grace, Maya Hawke, Whitney Peak, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. star.
Lawrence produces alongside Color Force’s Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson. Cameron MacConomy serves as executive producer.
Sunrise on the Reaping sold 1.5 million copies in its first week on sale earlier this year in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
