David Castañeda (“The Umbrella Academy,” Ballerina) has been cast in the as-yet-untitled home invasion horror thriller from Lionsgate and Midnight Pictures, Deadline reports.
He joins the previously announced Aimee Carrero (The Menu, The Last Witch Hunter) in the project, which recently wrapped production in Los Angeles.
Carrero stars as Lorena, whose mind is focused on her 12-year-old son’s safety after a recent accident. This is why their home security system is so crucial. It keeps a watchful eye on him when she can’t.
But when surprise attackers appear, the cameras can only watch as masked invaders stalk mother and son in a real-time home invasion nightmare.
Castañeda plays Ben, a doctor and Lorena’s husband.
Julian Labrádor makes his feature directorial debut from a script he co-wrote with Owen Egerton (Blood Fest), with revisions by Nathan Elston (“Succession”).
Labrádor produces alongside Tabitha Shick and Andre Fonseca, with Jeff Robinov, Dan Clifton, and Adam Maffei executive producing.
