Earlier this week, Nintendo announced Pokémon Pokopia would release on March 5. Not wanting to keep fans waiting, The Pokémon Company International revealed more about the life-simulation game tonight in an extended trailer that showed off building, crafting and a ghost Pikachu. That’s terrifyingly electric! Pokémon Pokopia Extended Trailer Alongside Pikachu, which is being affectionately dubbed Peakychu, a grass Snorlax named Mosslax and a painted Smeargle called Smearguru were also unveiled in the trailer. It’s still up in the air whether Professor Tangrowth is a normal Pokémon or one of these variants. The extended trailer also revealed the various Pokémon the player's Ditto can transform into, missions to help build up the village, and more Pokémon that will be found when the village becomes prettier. The game will only be available physically as a Game Key card, meaning it must be downloaded from the eShop to be played. Here’s what the folks behind Pokémon say about the game: In Pokémon Pokopia, players play as a Ditto that has awoken from a long slumber and transformed to look like a human. Ditto meets the peculiar Professor Tangrowth, who has been living all alone in a place where humans and Pokémon once lived—and appears to be wearing human tools. Seeing the withered grass and trees, Ditto decides to build the area anew by crafting items and learning moves from other Pokémon, creating a utopia for everyone to live in, one step at a time.
