Japanese male idol group Kis-My-Ft2 member Toshiya Miyata's debut novel Kyokai no Melody ("Melody of the Border") will receive a TV anime adaptation. Toshiya Miyata "Kyokai no Melody" PV While performing as a member of the popular idol group, Miyata, now 37, made his debut as a novel writer with the first volume of Kyokai no Melody , which was published from KADOKAWA's Media Works Bunko imprint in May 2024. The second volume of the novel and the first volume of the novel's manga adaptation illustrated by Ikura Sugimoto are simultaneously released in Japan on November 25, 2025. "The anime adaptation of 'Kyokai no melody' has been confirmed. Ever since I was a child, I've loved anime and always dreamed of making my own someday! To make that dream come true, I learned how to write novels, created a light novel, and here I am today," said Miyata. The special edition the novel's upcoming second volume comes with a bonus drama CD, and it was announced that the CD's main voice cast members will also voice their characters in the anime.
