Wolf in Crown welcomes you to the deceit, where even the dead do not rest in dreams. Watch the 20-minute film exclusively below!
Terrifier 2 and 3 actor Elliott Fullam stars in the surreal horror short in the vein of The Shining, Donnie Darko, and the works of David Lynch.
It follows Steven, a troubled musician who seeks a doctor to quiet his restless mind. Meanwhile, Sophia, an apparition and the love of his life, is haunted by dreams of a luminous city she once called home.
Their paths entwine in a world where doors fold across space, and an ancient evil called the Wolf in Crown guards the throne between life and eternity.
Fullam stars with Josie Dubree, his real-life muse. Fullam also contributed music to the project.
Terrifier 3 still photographer Jesse Korman co-directs Wolf in Crown with Kevin Veselka, who wrote the script. Terrifier 2 and 3 costume and production designer Olga Turka serves as costume and production designer on the short.
“Earlier this year, we made a short film with a small group of people with the common interest of making something really cool while having fun doing it,” Fullam tells Bloody Disgusting. “We didn’t have much money, but we were really ambitious and made it happen. I am so excited to be able to share this with you all, and I am also psyched for everyone to see Josie in her acting debut!”
Fullam continues, “This whole team was amazing, and I feel like we succeeded at making something really interesting and a little different. And it was great to be able to contribute some of my music to this and watch both of my worlds of acting and music collide together. But overall, I just would love to thank everyone involved who made this happen. I’m just glad to have been a part of it.”
Fullam produces with his father, Justin Fullam, under their Little Punk People banner alongside Korman and Veselka.
Wolf in Crown is the first segment in a larger story, which the production team hopes to eventually turn into a feature.
