Business, as they say, has picked up for Xbox Series owners and Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2. After last week’s discovery of the ESRB rating for the Xbox Series version of the acclaimed remake, the Microsoft Store prematurely posted the game’s page, along with a November 21 release date. The page has subsequently been taken down, but not before True Achievements snapped a screenshot.
Much like what PlayStation 5 and PC owners received, the Xbox Series release of Silent Hill 2 will include a Deluxe Edition, which includes a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, and a Pyramid Head pizza box cosmetic. On top of that, the game will purportedly also launch alongside a bundle that features the remake and the recently-released Silent Hill f.
Unfortunately, once again there appears to be no sign of the “Born From a Wish” DLC, which was rumoured to be in the works. This would no doubt have been fitting, seeing as the original Silent Hill 2 for the Xbox launched back in 2001 with the additional content, which subsequently made its way to the PlayStation 2 in the Greatest Hits version.
Silent Hill 2 centres around James Sunderland, who arrives in the town of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his late wife Mary, who had been suffering from an illness and died three years before. Upon arriving in the town, James finds it inhabited by horrific creatures, with one known as Pyramid Head taking a particular interest in him.
