Famed animator Shingo Yamashita, known for his direction of the web shorts Pokémon: Twilight Wings and a bunch of anime openings including Naruto Shippuden ’s 13th opening, Chainsaw Man ’s TV anime opening, JUJUTSU KAISEN ’s first and second opening and more, will make his first full directorial debut this January. Netflix revealed the Cosmic Princess Kaguya! anime film today from Shingo Yamashita, who had "poured into it everything I've learned about visual expression, my love for unique characters, and my deep affection for the internet culture that's continued since the 1990s." Vocaloid producers ryo (supercell), kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra and yuigot will provide the music for the film. Cosmic Princess Kaguya! will premiere on Netflix on January 22.
