The new horror releases always slow down a bit once October passes us by, with November and December typically being the slowest months of the year. But that doesn’t mean we’re not getting any new horror on the road to Thanksgiving and Christmas…
Here are the five most must-see horror movies releasing in November 2025.

Predator: Badlands – November 7 (theaters)

The first big new release of November is Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator: Badlands, the franchise’s very first installment to make a Yautja warrior the sympathetic main character.
Predator: Badlands will release in theaters on November 7, 2025, in IMAX, Dolby Cinema, RealD 3D, Cinemark XD, 4DX, ScreenX, and premium screens everywhere.
Prey and Predator: Badlands will play in AMC Theatres as a special Predator Double Feature on November 5, giving you the chance to see Prey in theaters for the very first time while also experiencing Predator: Badlands a couple days early. So check your local listings!
Trachtenberg’s third installment in the franchise is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi) finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Elle Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein – November 7 (Netflix)

A few weeks after the film’s limited theatrical release, Guillermo del Toro’s critically acclaimed monster movie Frankenstein will be making its debut on Netflix on Friday, November 7.
Oscar Isaac stars in Guillermo del Toro’s own personal adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic sci-fi/horror novel as Victor Frankenstein, with Jacob Elordi co-starring as The Creature.
The film follows Victor Frankenstein, who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.
Meagan writes in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “Frankenstein is absolutely breathtaking, with imagery and set pieces that instantly embed themselves in your memory. It showcases del Toro’s strength as a filmmaker, creating immersive worlds that enhance what he does best: championing monsters and their tragic humanity instead of using them to scare us.”
Keeper – November 14 (theaters)

Osgood Perkins and NEON are back together this month for their third collaboration, with the mysterious Keeper coming in the wake of Longlegs and this year’s The Monkey.
Perkins continues to be one of the most interesting voices working in the horror space at the moment, and Keeper has been earning rave reviews from his fellow horror masters.
Tatiana Maslany (The Monkey, “Orphan Black”) and Rossif Sutherland (Possessor) star in the film as a couple having a romantic anniversary weekend at a secluded cabin. They soon find themselves isolated and in the presence of an unspeakable evil.
James Wan calls the film a “terrifying descent into madness,” while Guillermo del Toro calls Keeper “horror origami that skillfully folds into itself.” Hideo Kojima describes Perkins as a new “wizard of horror,” and Eli Roth compares Keeper to a “surreal David Lynch movie.”

The Carpenter’s Son – November 14 (theaters)

Speaking of mysterious horror movies, we also know very little about The Carpenter’s Son, a Jesus Christ-based horror movie that stars Nicolas Cage, FKA twigs, and Noah Jupe.
The film from Magnolia Pictures and writer/director Lotfy Nathan is described as “a meticulously crafted, genre-bending supernatural thriller packed with unshakeable images of the divine and demonic at war.” It’s inspired by the apocryphal Infancy Gospel of Thomas.
Here’s a summation of the plot: “A remote village in Roman-era Egypt explodes into spiritual warfare when a carpenter, his wife and their child are targeted by supernatural forces. For Joseph (Nicolas Cage), Mary (FKA twigs) and their teenage son Jesus (Noah Jupe), a stopover in a small settlement unleashes growing chaos when a mysterious stranger (Isla Johnston) tries to entice young Jesus to abandon his devout father’s rules. Violent, unnatural events inexplicably follow Jesus, and he begins to experience nightmarish visions of the future. Finally, he learns the fearsome truth about his new playmate, as well as the child’s real name: Satan.”
The Things You Kill – November 14 (theaters)

November 14 is the busiest day of the month for new releases, with Bloody Disgusting’s parent company Cineverse also releasing the thriller The Things You Kill in select theaters.
Lynchian surrealism meets Turkish culture in The Things You Kill, which is notably Canada’s submission for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.
In director Alireza Khatami’s critically acclaimed film, “Haunted by the suspicious death of his ailing mother, a university professor coerces his enigmatic gardener to execute a cold-blooded act of vengeance.” The Things You Kill currently has a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
