Hiroto Ida's comedy manga series You Don't Know Gunma Yet will receive a new light anime adaptation under the title You Don't Know Gunma Yet Reiwa Edition, scheduled to premiere in January 2026. The title "Reiwa" is in reference to the name of the current Japanese imperial era. The new anime will air on the railway specialty CS channel Tetsudo Channel in Japan. The anime's official website opened with a teaser trailer and a key visual. It was previously adapted into a four-episode live-action TV drama with a feature film in 2017, and a 12-episode TV anime in 2018. In the new anime, Gakuto Kajiwara (Asta in Black Clover ) and Jun Kasama (Amehiko Kuzunoha in THE IDOLM@STER SideM ) are confirmed to reprise their roles as the two protagonists from the 2018 edition — Nori Kamitsuki and Otoya Todoroki. Tetsuya Tatamitani ( Thermae Romae Novae ) serves as director and series composition writer. Eimi Saito and Kohei Nakayama provides scripts, and Imagica Infos and Imageworks Studio work on anime production.
