Well, one rumour regarding Silent Hill 2 came true, as Sony has unveiled its list of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium lineup of games for October, which includes the acclaimed Bloober Team remake. In addition to Silent Hill 2, the remake of Until Dawn highlights the new crop of titles, which will be available on October 21.
Led by “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere and Rami Malek, Until Dawn‘s 2024 remake updated the PlayStation 4 horror classic with additional scenes and upgraded visuals. The additional scenes included a new ending, which in turn sparked rumours of a potential sequel, but nothing has surfaced so far. Until Dawn can also be grabbed on Steam.
Meanwhile, coinciding with the one-year anniversary of its launch, Silent Hill 2 will also be available on the service as its own crop of rumours swirl regarding potential DLC, and its as-yet-unconfirmed release on the Xbox Series. You can also grab Silent Hill 2 on Steam.
Also available during this month will be Stunlock Studios’ vampire strategy title V Rising (which is also on Steam), as well as MOB Entertainment’s Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 (again, also on Steam).
Non-horror offerings include Sega’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon, INTERIOR/NIGHT’s As Dusk Falls (created by the lead designer of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls), Galvanic Games’ Wizard With a Gun, and classic fighter Tekken 3 as part of PlayStation Plus Premium.
