Those keen on seeing what THQ Nordic and Tarsier Studios have cooking with their upoming co-op horror adventure game REANIMAL ahead of its release next year can do so now with the Steam Next Fest demo. The demo can be played either solo or with friends, and sees players start at the very beginning of the game. From there, you’ll explore environments such as the Mill and Trainyard, while uncovering the first fragments of the dark mystery that binds this game’s unsettling world.
Calling back to Tarsier Studios’ previous efforts in the Little Nightmares series, REANIMAL follows a brother and sister on a desperate journey to rescue their missing friends. Set on a nightmarish island filled with twisted creatures and eerie secrets, players must work together, by boat and on foot, to survive the darkness and uncover the truth. Mixing an unsettling atmosphere with emotional storytelling, REANIMAL explores childhood trauma through a stylized world filled with dread.
With an emphasis on tension and thick atmosphere, you’ll traverse through an intriguing but terrifying world, where the main path is only one part of the fragmented story. Players will discover all sorts of mysterious locations on your perilous journey, each with its own story to tell.
REANIMAL will launch for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 Q1 2026. Pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition are still available.
