A teaser trailer released for Kore Kaite Shine ("Draw This, Then Die!") today revealed that the coming-of-anime series is helmed by The Dangers in My Heart director Hiroaki Akagi at studio Shin-Ei Animation, and will begin broadcasting in 2026 . Further staff and cast details are yet to be confirmed. The series previously won both the 2023 Manga Taisho award and the 70th Shogakukan Manga Award in 2025, along with ranking sixth on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! list in 2023. The story follows first-year high school student Yasumi Ai, who lives on Izu Oshima, an island off the coast of Tokyo. Ai starts up a manga club on the island after a certain incident where she starts thinking about creating manga.
