Blumhouse and Meta Quest Will Reimagine How You Watch Horror Movies Beginning October 9

It was announced at Meta Connect 2025 that Blumhouse and Meta Quest are joining forces for Blumhouse Enhanced Cinema, a new immersive experience built exclusively for Meta Quest that promises to “reimagine how we watch horror films by transforming traditional viewing into a truly enveloping event with visual effects spilling out of the screen, Dolby Atmos spatial audio wrapping around you, and the eerie sense that the film is inhabiting your space.”

Bloody Disgusting has now exclusively learned this morning that the Blumhouse Enhanced Cinema app will launch on the road to Halloween on October 9, exclusively on Meta Quest!

At launch, the app will feature M3GAN and The Black Phone, two of Blumhouse’s biggest recent hits, presented in a way fans have never seen or felt before.

And for those who crave more interactive scares, Bloody Disgusting has also learned that the Blumhouse Horrorverse expands this Halloween with M3GAN Tag, a twisted new mini-game where players get hunted—and transformed—by the viral horror icon herself.

Stay tuned for more information on M3GAN Tag as we learn it.

And don’t forget that Black Phone 2 releases in theaters on October 17!
