Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider Anime Reveals VA Katsuyuki Konishi's Shocking Past

The upcoming TV anime based on the tokusatsu-themed seinen manga Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider released a short video today revealing the shocking (pun intended) history of lead voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi with the Kamen Rider franchise. Prior to providing the voice of Tanazburo Tojima , the main character of Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider , Konishi also provided the voice for the transformation belt in 2023's Kamen Rider Gotchard TV series. But even before that, Konishi appeared in a small role as a Shocker fighter in the 2009 film, Kamen Rider Decade the Movie: All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker ! For the ending theme, Ryoji Tokita performs “One More Time”, a song which features composition and arrangement by TeddyLoid and lyrics by TeddyLoid and Konnie Aoki. Yokusaru Shibata authors the original Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider manga, which is based on original characters created by Ishimori Productions and Toei. Hero's Inc. currently publishes the manga in their Comiplex digital manga magazine. Takehiro Ikezoe directs the anime adaptation at animation studio LIDEN FILMS, with series composition by Toko Machida, character designs by Cindy H. Yamauchi and music by TeddyLoid. The story of Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider follows Tanzaburo Tojima, a forty-year-old man who is abnormally obsessed with the Kamen Rider franchise. Tojima is about to give up on his dream of becoming a hero until a chance encounter with a robber changes his fate forever.
