The ongoing TV anime based on the romantic comedy manga Watari-kun's ****** Is about to Collapse kicked off its second cour today not only with the publication of the latest episode in the series, but also with a new piece of key art (below) and a creditless version of its opening animation sequence, which features the new opening theme “Futaribun” performed by shallm. Watari-kun's ****** Is about to Collapse Cour 2 Opening Sequence Kadokaka Shoten and Kodansha serialized the original Watari-kun's ****** Is about to Collapse manga by Naru Narumi from 2014 to 2023 in their Young Ace and Monthly Young Magazine seinen manga publications, respectively. The series was also published in 16 collected volumes. Kodansha USA publishes an English language version of the manga. Takashi Naoya directs the TV anime adaptation at animation studio Staple Entertainment, with assistant direction by Matsuo Asami, series composition by Tetsuya Takahashi, scripts by Tetsuya Yamada and Takashi Naoya and character designs and chief animation direction by Shoko Yasuda.
