Elizabeth Berkley’s Home is Invaded in ‘Shell’ Clip [Exclusive]

Elizabeth Berkley (Showgirls) is the victim of a home invasion in our exclusive clip from Shell, hitting select theaters and Digital tomorrow, October 3, via Republic Pictures.

Elisabeth Moss (The Invisible Man) and Kate Hudson (Almost Famous) star in the body horror/dark comedy hybrid, which has drawn comparisons to The Substance.

Desperate to reclaim her career, once-beloved actress Samantha Lake (Moss) is drawn into the glamorous world of wellness mogul Zoe Shannon (Hudson) —only to uncover a monstrous truth beneath its flawless surface.

“The Handmaid’s Tale” and Spiral: From the Book of Saw actor Max Minghella directs from a script by Jack Stanley (The Passenger, Lou).

Arian Moayed (“Succession”), Este Haim (of the band Haim), Kaia Gerber (Bottoms), Lionel Boyce (“The Bear”), Amy Landecker (“Transparent”), and Peter MacNicol (Ghostbusters II) round out the cast.

Minghella and Moss produce alongside Fred Berger (La La Land), Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Longlegs), Lindsey McManus (“Shining Girls”), Hal Sadoff (Orphan: First Kill), Norman Golightly (Lord of War), and Alicia Van Couvering (Drinking Buddies).

Shell is rated “R” for violent content, gore, sexual content, graphic nudity and language.

In her review out of the Toronto International Film Festival, Meagan Navarro called the film “a zany, entertaining salute to the ’90s, an era where films went big and swung wide. While Shell doesn’t achieve quite the same scale, its revolving door of genres and cheeky sense of humor makes for a welcome trip down memory lane.”
