‘Keeper’ – Osgood Perkins Teases That “Something” Lives at His Mysterious Cabin in the Woods

Fresh off Longlegs last year and The Monkey this year, Osgood Perkins is back with new horror movie Keeper, a film we know very little about at this time. We’ve seen a mysterious teaser trailer and we know it’s rated “R” for “some violent content/gore, language, and some sexual references,” but what type of horror movie are we in store for in November?

Talking to Empire Online, director Osgood Perkins teases that his cabin in the woods horror movie definitely features some kind of entity that’s toying with our main characters.

Keeper follows a couple as they escape for a romantic anniversary weekend at a secluded cabin. When Malcolm (Rossif Sutherland) returns to the city, Liz (Tatiana Maslany) finds herself isolated and in the presence of an unspeakable evil that unveils horrifying secrets.

Perkins teases, “Something lives at the cabin. Of course it does. It’s been there a minute, and it’s had its way with lots of people before it [has] its way with Liz and Malcolm.”

“I think that Keeper created an opportunity to find the monster in a relationship,” Perkins adds.

Keeper is coming to theaters on November 14 from NEON.

Nick Lepard (Dangerous Animals) wrote the screenplay.

This will be Perkins’ third movie with NEON, in the wake of box office hits Longlegs and The Monkey. Perkins previously directed The Blackcoat’s DaughterI Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, and the arthouse fairytale adaptation Gretel & Hansel.
