Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games Anime Delayed to 2026

KADOKAWA announced today that the upcoming anime adaptation of Eri Ejima's comedy manga Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games will be pushed back to 2026. The series also revealed new character visuals for its Street Fighter 6 collaboration, which will be front and center at this week's Tokyo Game Show booth for the anime. Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games  was originally set to premiere in 2025, but due to "coordinating schedules with all relevant parties, [the production committee] has decided to change the broadcast start date." The production committee thanked fans for their support and will reveal the new broadcast date when it's finalized. Footage of Street Fighter 6 will be used as the main game for the series. Eri Ejima's original manga, which was previously adapted into a live-action web drama in May 2023, has been serialized in Monthly Comic Flapper since January 2020, with nine volumes released in Japan to date.
