As previously announced , voice actor Wataru Takagi will be stepping into the role of Jagi, Kenshiro's adopted brother and rival, in the new Fist of the North Star anime. Today, we get our first sample of Takagi in the new role, spouting some iconic lines from the character. Takagi has an impressive resume, with roles ranging from Bellamy and Vander Decken IX in One Piece to Detective Takagi (named after himself) and Genta Kojima in the long-running Case Closed . He's also provided the voice of Zangief in six past Street Fighter games. The original Fist of the North Star manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from September 1983 to August 1988, compiled into 27 tankobon volumes. It has been animated many times as a TV series and OVAs, and in 1995 it was made into a live-action movie starring Garry Daniels. The synopsis from the official website reads: In the year 199X, the world is engulfed in a nuclear inferno! The seas have vanished. The earth lies in ruins. It seems all life has been wiped out…but humanity has not perished! Across the scorched and broken land, survivors cling to hope, desperately searching for food and water. However, their hopes are trampled underfoot by violence. Might makes right in this world, and the weak are crushed without mercy.
