The cast for next year’s Insidious 6 continues to grow, with Deadline reporting tonight that Brandon Perea (Jordan Peele’s Nope) has signed on to be the film’s male lead.
Perea will star alongside Lin Shaye, Amelia Eve (“The Haunting of Bly Manor”), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (“Legends of Tomorrow”), Sam Spruell (“Fargo”), and Island Austin.
Insidious 6 will release in theaters on August 21, 2026.
Jacob Chase (Come Play) directs the upcoming horror franchise sequel from a script he co-wrote with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (The Conjuring 2, Orphan).
Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan, and Leigh Whannell produce, with Johnson-McGoldrick, Ryan Turek, Steven Schneider, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones serving as executive producers.
Wan launched the Insidious franchise in 2011, and that film was followed by 2013’s Insidious: Chapter 2, 2015’s Insidious: Chapter 3, 2018’s Insidious: The Last Key, and 2023’s Insidious: The Red Door, which became the franchise’s all-time highest grossing movie.
Thread: An Insidious Tale, a spin-off directed by Jeremy Slater and starring Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani, was announced in 2023 but its status is unknown at this time.
