Netflix and Legendary's live-action film adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi's bestselling My Hero Academia manga just took its next big step toward becoming a reality, today announcing the appointment of Jason Fuchs ( Argylle , Pan ) as screenwriter. Shinsuke Sato, who previously helmed live-action adaptations of Bleach , Death Note , Inuyashiki , Kingdom and GANTZ , remains attached as director. A final anime season is also in production, and will begin streaming on Crunchyroll this October. Crunchyroll is also streaming the spin-off My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, and will also stream the second season of Vigilantes when it premieres in 2026 .
