A new storyline is about to begin with episode 22 of the Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho anime. To mark the occasion and prepare everyone for the Meiji arc, a new visual was revealed along with two additional cast members. New cast members include: Kaneomi voiced by Yumiri Hanamori (Ai Hayasaka in Kaguya-sama: Love is War ) Utsugi Heikichi voiced by Toshiki Kumagai (Hitoyoshi Yokoya in You are Ms. Servant ) Kaneomi Utsugi Heikichi RELATED: Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho Anime Kicks off Second Cour with Creditless Opening and Ending Videos Motoo Nakanishi writes and Tamaki illustrates the original Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho novels, with Futabasha publishing in Japan. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes an English language version of the novels as well as the manga adaptation with Yu Satomi’s artwork. Kazuya Aiura directs the TV anime at Yokohama Animation Laboratory. Deko Akao provides the series composition and Taro Ikegami provides the character designs. Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho premiered on March 31, with HIDIVE simulcasting. Here’s the official synopsis: In the Edo period, there was a shrine maiden called “Itskihime” in the mountain village of Kadono. Jinta, a wandering orphan who, along with his younger sister Suzune, drifted into the village and grew up to become the shrine maiden’s guardian, ventures into the forest to defeat a mysterious demon who speaks to him of the far future and the threat of a Demon God. So begins this epic supernatural historical fantasy series that follows a demon hunter through his century-spanning journey from the Edo to Heisei periods—all-the-while questioning his wielding of a sword.
